Martínez announces squad for Nations League

Coach Roberto Martínez will announce on Tuesday the list of Portugal players called up for the Nations League final four, which will take place in June in Germany, with Dalot and Cancelo among the main doubts.
Due to physical problems, the two full-backs could be absent from the two games on German soil, in a call-up in which once again the possible presence of João Félix also presents questions and which could have as a surprise the debut of Rodrigo Mora, from FC Porto.
Having just turned 18, Mora had an excellent end to the season with the 'dragons' and everything points to him earning his first call-up to the main team.
Living through another disappointing season in his career, first at Chelsea and then at AC Milan, João Félix has nevertheless always deserved Martínez's trust, and could now be left out of the Spanish coach's choices.
Diogo Dalot has been absent from Manchester United due to injury, as has João Cancelo from Al Hilal, having already missed the double clash with Denmark in the quarter-finals.
Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Gonçalo Ramos seem to have their places guaranteed, although the three players still have to play against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, which will be just four days before the start of the Nations League.
Roberto Martínez's choices will be announced at 12:30 pm, at a press conference at Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras.
The national team's first game will be on June 4th, against Germany and, if they win, they will play the final on June 8th, also at the Allianz Arena. If they are defeated by the Germans, the Portuguese team will play the game for third and fourth place, which will also be on the 8th, but in Stuttgart.
Portugal qualified for the Nations League semi-finals by beating Denmark in Lisbon, at the Estádio da Luz, 5-2 in extra time, after 3-2 in regular time, recovering from a 1-0 deficit in the first leg, in Copenhagen.
Before this quarter-final clash, the Portuguese team had already won Group 1 ahead of Croatia, Scotland and Poland.
Portugal, still with Fernando Santos in charge, won the first edition of the Nations League in 2019, having then failed to qualify for the 'final four' in 2020/21 and 2022/23.
