It's about 2.7 km, a distance that, on a normal day, would take just over 35 minutes to walk. This is the distance that Sporting fans will have to cover today for the derby of all decisions at Benfica's home. Neighbours and rivals live almost side by side... or maybe not. The thing is, compared to other cases around the world (and excluding clubs that share a stadium, such as Milan and Inter), the distance between Alvalade and Luz seems like an eternity. Some people are separated by a river or... even a street.
