Leader, but with risk! Coritiba draws with Chapecoense and could fall away from the top of Serie B

Coritiba did not win at home, but still jumped ahead in the Brazilian Serie B standings. With the goalless draw against Chapecoense on Friday night (8), at Couto Pereira, the Paraná team reached 39 points, one more than Goiás, which will still play in this 21st round and can, therefore, reach 41.

Coxa will therefore have to hope for a defeat against Operário in Goiânia. The Santa Catarina team, in turn, remains in the top four, currently in fourth place with 34 points.

The teams studied each other closely in the opening minutes, as this was a direct clash for promotion, and prioritized defensive organization. Although the first half was tight, the home side frequently appeared on the attack and created the best chances. Dellatorre was particularly successful, but he was stopped by excellent saves from goalkeeper Léo Vieira. Josué also had a good opportunity with a powerful shot that went wide. The situation remained unchanged after halftime, and Coritiba maintained control of the game by pressing and circling the opposing goal.
