ITF Curitiba (PR) Main Draw starts this Monday. Davis Cup champion Delbonis is present

The favorites will be in action starting this Monday with the start of the main draws of the 5th Icaro Institute Cup, which will take place at Clube 3 Marias and Academia DM Tênis in Curitiba (PR). The international youth event is endorsed by the International Tennis Federation, the Brazilian Tennis Confederation, the South American Tennis Confederation and the Paraná Tennis Federation.

The duels start at 8 am with the clashes in the 14-year-old male and female categories with points in the South American COSAT ranking.

The under-18 world tournament in the J60 category will begin no earlier than 10 a.m. The champion from Londrina (PR), Leonardo Storck, will make his debut against Chilean Simon Flores. At the same time, Curitiba native Henrique Vialle, runner-up in the 14-year-old world championship last year for Brazil, will make his debut against Brazilian Fernando Cafure. His brother Bernardo Vialle will play at around 11:30 a.m. against Raul Leandro, right after another match with Thiago Ribeiro from Paraná, who will play at 10 a.m. against Sidney Meneguetti, the seventh seed.

The 16-year-old category will also be contested throughout the day, with points for the South American ranking.

The tournament will feature Argentine Federico Delbonis, a former top 35 player in the world who won the Davis Cup for Argentina in 2016. He will be accompanied by Brazilian athlete Mateus Nogueira. Delbonis was responsible for Juan Martin del Potro's retirement in February 2022.

The tournament will continue throughout the week with daily games until Sunday the 13th.
