Italian strikes long-term deal to broadcast games

A new broadcast agreement for the Italian Men's Volleyball Championship was announced this Friday (8/8). Volleyball World and the league have signed a ten-season contract, valid until 2034/2035.
All matches will continue to be broadcast live on VBTV, Volleyball World's streaming platform. The agreement includes media rights management and betting, a joint branding and marketing strategy, and the development of original content.
According to the official statement, "the renewal is a strategic milestone in the evolution of volleyball, with the common goal of expanding the global audience and strengthening the bond with fans."
Five countries were cited as Italiano's growing international fan base: Japan, Thailand, the United States, Brazil and the Philippines.
For 2025/2026, several new Brazilian players will start playing in the competition, such as Lukas Bergmann, Darlan, Arthur Bento and Daniel Muniz, joining Cachopa and Flávio.
"We were the first non-football league in the world to sign an agreement of this nature with an international federation, thanks to the agreement with Volleyball World. This agreement consolidates a shared commercial expansion strategy," said Massimo Righi, president of the Italian League.
For 2025/2026, one of the new features will be the Super Cup being held in Saudi Arabia.
