Henrique Barbosa joins the national team's training camp

Aveiro native Henrique Barbosa is one of the national absolute team members selected for the training camp for the upcoming European Padel Championships, which will be held this year in Spain. According to the Portuguese Padel Federation, 24 athletes have been selected, 12 men and 12 women, who will work with coaches João Barros and Gervásio Del Bono at the Lisboa Racket Centre. Henrique Barbosa, 24, currently ranked 21st in the national rankings, is one of the padel players selected for the preparation camp, which will take place from September 15th to 18th. Organized by the International Padel Federation (FIP), the European Championships are scheduled for La Línea de La Conepcion, Spain, from October 21st to 25th.

The tournament will be contested by the eight best European men's and women's teams. In the men's competition, the trophy will be contested by defending champions Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany, while in the women's competition, the Spanish team will defend its title against Italy, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
