With a solid and efficient performance, Vitória beat Cerro Largo 1-0 this Wednesday (15), in Montevideo, and won three valuable points in the fight for a spot in the Copa Sudamericana Playoff. The red-and-black triumph, valid for the fifth round of Group B, had as highlights the defender Lucas Halter, solid in defense, and the midfielder Claudinho, author of a great goal that decided the match.

The away win put Vitória in second place in the group, with a good chance of advancing in the continental competition. Now, the team depends only on itself to guarantee a place in the knockout stages. The next and decisive match will be on the 28th, against Universidad de Quito, in Ecuador.
