An unpleasant situation marked the 2nd Brazilian Football Coaches Forum, this Tuesday (4), organized by the CBF. After all, former coaches Emerson Leão and Oswaldo de Oliveira spoke out against foreigners in charge of clubs and the Brazilian National Team, at an event that was attended by coach Carlo Ancelotti. Thus, the comments generated discomfort in the Italian, according to "O Globo".

The comments from the former coaches, now out of work, were considered "rude and unnecessary." As a result, officials present at the event disliked what happened. Ancelotti felt "uncomfortable" with the words of Emerson Leão and Oswaldo de Oliveira, but reacted well and did not retaliate. After all, the Italian coach sees himself in a role to help Brazilian football. He, incidentally, received a tribute at the event.

Alfredo Sampaio, director of the Brazilian Football Coaches Federation, repudiated the comments made by Oswaldo de Oliveira and Emerson Leão. At the end of the event, the coach lamented the episode, which caused embarrassment and discomfort. He defended coach Carlo Ancelotti and criticized, in particular, the words of Oswaldo de Oliveira, who raised his voice somewhat more aggressively.

"I hereby express my disapproval of the attitude he (Oswaldo de Oliveira) displayed here. It was inappropriate for such an important event. Here, it was Brazilian coaches who were trying to get closer to the most important sporting institution in the country. Brazilian football is changing. We wanted to be part of that change. And today, I confess to you, I don't know if we will be able to do everything we planned because of one person who lacked the composure to understand where he was," he said.

Alfredo Sampaio, 67, is still active. Known for his work in Rio de Janeiro football, the coach managed Sampaio Corrêa in the 2025 Carioca Championship, as well as Bangu in the state's Série A2. After winning the second division title and securing their return to the elite division for 2026, he left the club and is currently a free agent.
