Hugo Calderano is in the final of the WTT Champions League in Macau . In the early hours of Sunday, the 14th, the Brazilian defeated the Danish Anders Lind by 4 sets to 0 , with partial scores of 11-5, 11-5, 12-10 and 11-2, in just 28 minutes .

This was the third time Hugo and Lind had faced each other. Calderano had also prevailed in the previous two encounters.

The Brazilian is in great form and has been racking up titles since the beginning of the year. In addition to winning the Table Tennis World Cup in April , Hugo was champion of the WTT in Foz do Iguaçu and Buenos Aires and won the singles title at the WTT Star Contender .

Calderano and Lind started the first set evenly, but the Brazilian soon opened up an advantage. Hugo reached set point with a 5-point lead over Anders. The quick game ended at 11-5.

Hugo continued to pressure the Dane in the second set, opening up a lead just as he had in the previous set. An error by the Brazilian gave Lind his third point, leveling the score, but Anders's lead soon ended: Calderano surged to close out the set, once again, at 11-5.

Lind took the lead in the third set, but was quickly overtaken by the Brazilian. He called a timeout after feeling his ankle on the play that gave Hugo the third point of the set. In a comeback, the Dane surged forward, reaching 9 points with a 3-point lead over the Brazilian. But Calderano recovered, taking the set point from Anders, and closing the game at 12-10.

In the final set, the Brazilian took the lead again and quickly reached 5 points. Hugo quickly resolved the situation and took the game 1 1/2.

Calderano now faces China's Chuqin Wang, currently ranked second in the world, in the final . The match is at 8 a.m. (Brasília time). The match will be broadcast on Cazé TV .
