Brazilian player reaches rare milestone with Spanish team; understand why.

Brazilian striker Antony is enjoying a great run of form with Real Betis and was the team's standout player in the 11th round of La Liga. The number 7 scored twice and was involved in the team's third goal in a 3-0 victory against Mallorca.

The player's performance in the match allowed Antony to reach a significant milestone at the club.

In just 35 matches played since arriving at the club, the former São Paulo player has reached the same 14 goals as Denílson Show, a starter for the Brazilian national team in their fifth World Cup victory.

The difference between them lies solely in the number of games played, as Denílson needed 196 matches for the Spanish club to reach the same milestone.

Antony joined Manuel Pellegrini's team on loan from Manchester United in January of this year, for the 24/25 season.

With nine goals and six assists in just 26 games, Antony stood out last season and Betis signed the striker permanently in September for 25 million euros (approximately 159 million reais).

Since then, the Brazilian has remained one of Real Betis' key players and has been directly involved in the team's good campaign, which has them in 5th place in LaLiga and fighting for spots in European competitions.
