The fans had to wait until January of this year for the clash between Barcelona and Real. Then the teams met in the final of the Spanish Super Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Hansi Flick's team proved better again, defeating the "Royal" 5:2.

The third clash took place recently, on April 26. This time in the final of the Copa del Rey. Barcelona again proved to be better, winning 3-2 after extra time.

Now, we are in the fourth round of this competition. The teams are back in the league - just four rounds before the end of the season. The fact that the match is taking place at such a crucial moment only adds to its prestige. Especially when you look at the table.

Barcelona is leading in this, but their advantage over second-placed Real is four points. If the Madrid team beats the Catalans on Sunday, they will close the gap to one point.

Lewandowski and company therefore have a huge motivation to prove their superiority for the fourth time. Then they would have seven points more than Real and would be on the highway to the championship.

What is important from the point of view of Polish fans - there is a high probability that we will see both of our compatriots on the pitch. Coach Flick announced a few days ago that Szczęsny will keep his place in goal for the most important matches of the season.

- Tek will play in the Champions League and also against Real Madrid - that's our plan, but I'm also happy with Ter Stegen. That he came back and showed that he's on the right track - explained the German.

Lewandowski returned to action after an injury in Tuesday's match against Inter. The striker came on in the 91st minute and played the entire extra time. It is difficult to predict whether he will appear in the starting eleven against Real, but there are many indications that he will get a chance to a greater or lesser extent.
