What an opening for El Clasico! Wojciech Szczęsny in the lead role
The Royals started the match with their biggest rival brilliantly. FC Barcelona conceded a goal in the 5th minute of the match. Unfortunately, Wojciech Szczęsny was involved in the loss. The Pole fouled Kylian Mbappe in the penalty area, and the referee indicated a penalty.
The Frenchman proved to be a sure-fire executor. Although the Polish goalkeeper had the ball on his gloves, the shot was so powerful that Szczęsny was unable to parry the ball out of the goal.
It is worth adding that the foul by the Polish goalkeeper was the result of a huge mistake made by the home team's defender Pau Cubarsi. The young defender of the LaLiga leader did not show off his good technique, which the French sniper took advantage of, coming face to face with the Barcelona goalkeeper.
The second Pole playing in the colours of the Catalan club, Robert Lewandowski, started the match on the reserve bench due to his return from injury.

Barcelona managed to respond relatively quickly, however. Eric Garcia scored from a set piece. And again, very quickly, because the score was 1:2 to the hosts' disadvantage in the 19th minute.
The pace of the match, which could decide the championship title in Spain, is absolutely dizzying. Suffice it to say, by the end of the first half, it was already 4:2 for Barcelona.
First, Lamine Yamal attempted to equalize with a beautiful, technical shot. From match to match, the young Spaniard convinces that he is the natural successor to Lionel Messi in Barcelona colors. What's more, it was a goal in the 32nd minute, and only 120 seconds later Raphinha celebrated the goal. The Brazilian put Barcelona ahead with his goal, performing the so-called remontada - in absolutely impressive style.
The Royals tried to respond by getting up off the boards – using boxing jargon. Mbappe almost faced another penalty. The Frenchman fell, allegedly fouled by Frenkie de Jong. The Dutchman and his teammates could breathe a sigh of relief, though, because although replays showed that there was probably no contact in the penalty area, one of the Royals had been slightly offside earlier.
Barcelona's response? Another goal, this time for 4-2. Again by Raphinha.
A cosmic match in Barcelona in the first 45 minutes. A true tribute to offensive football, where the most important thing is the spectacle, spectacular actions, and tight defense... is a slightly lower priority.
