German women turned the tables on Nations League match

The German women's footballers defeated the Austrians 4:1 in the second round of the Nations League.

The match started unexpectedly, with Annabel Schasching scoring a goal for Austria in the third minute.

However, only the hosts found the net later on. Goals by Laura Freigang, Linda Dallmann, Giovanna Hoffmann and Vivien Endemann secured a 4-1 victory for the Germans.

This is the first victory for the Germans in this edition of Division A of the Nations League. In the first round, Christian Wuck's team drew 2:2 with the Dutch.

The Austrians, in turn, beat Scotland 1-0 in the first series of games.
