National champions PSV are surprised by newly promoted Telstar

It meant the first loss of points for PSV after three victories, and the defeat meant that PSV failed to increase its lead over rivals Ajax .
PSV has one point ahead of the Amsterdam side after four rounds. In three weeks, the two top clubs will face each other in Eindhoven. Telstar, who already gave Ajax a hard time on Matchday 1, losing 2-0, has four points after four rounds.
Beforehand, there was no indication of defeat for PSV, who had started the season convincingly with victories over Sparta Rotterdam (6-1), FC Twente (0-2), and FC Groningen (4-2). Manager Peter Bosz opted to start with the same starting eleven as against Groningen. Sergiño Dest replaced the injured Mauro Júnior, who will be sidelined for six to eight weeks, at left back again. Joey Veerman, who is attracting interest from Brentford, was on the bench.
Telstar again played polished football and boldly went on the attack. Patrick Brouwer looked set to open the scoring in the second minute, but goalkeeper Matej Kovar made a fine save. PSV weren't sufficiently warned yet, with Soufiane Hetli firing the ball wide in the fifth minute.
Flute ConcertoPSV made their first move after ten minutes. Goalkeeper Ronald Koeman saved a back heel from Ruben van Bommel.
Telstar deservedly opened the scoring midway through the first half. Tyrone Owusu curled the ball beautifully into the top right corner from outside the penalty area. PSV fans erupted in a loud chorus of whistles when the referee blew the whistle for halftime.
Bosz brought on Veerman, Ricardo Pepi, and Esmir Bajraktarevic early in the second half for Dennis Man, Ruben van Bommel, and Yarek Gasiorowski. Bajraktarevic had almost immediate success, his shot going just wide after deflecting off a Telstar player.
Telstar doubled their lead in the 65th minute. Patrick Brouwer found himself completely unmarked at the near post for a corner and slotted the ball home: 0-2. Telstar came under more pressure in the aftermath, but PSV didn't create many clear-cut chances.
