Chivas: Dates, times, and where to watch their 2025 Leagues Cup matches

Chivas now knows the dates and opponents they will face in the group stage of the 2025 Leagues Cup , a tournament that brings together teams from Liga MX and MLS , and which will be played between July 29 and August 31.

The red-and-white team was placed in Eastern Group 3 , where it will share a segment with three Major League Soccer teams. During this initial phase, Gabriel Milito's team will play three matches on U.S. soil.

The Sacred Flock's debut will be on Thursday, July 31, against the New York Red Bulls at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.

The Guadalajara team will then face Charlotte FC on Sunday, August 3 , at Bank of America Stadium.

The group stage will close on Thursday, August 7 against FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium.

The tournament format does not allow for ties: in the event of a tie in regular time, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout, with an additional point awarded to the winner.

The top four teams in Liga MX and the top four in MLS, based on Leagues Cup results, will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be played on August 19 and 20 .

The final phase will be completed with the semifinals scheduled for the 26th and 27th of the same month , while the grand final and the duel for third place will be played on August 31st.

For this edition of the tournament, all matches will be streamed on Apple TV with the MLS Season Pass package, although some matches are also expected to be available on free-to-air television in Mexico.

With this schedule in place, Chivas is preparing to face a new edition of the tournament with the goal of improving its performance compared to previous seasons and positioning itself as one of the tournament's key players.
