Andrés Guardado confirmed his final retirement from football.

This Tuesday, Mexican soccer player Andrés Guardado confirmed his retirement from professional soccer after a 20-year career.
In the podcast "Por mis pelotas" with Raul "Pollo" Ortíz, "El Principito " announced that he will no longer continue his career as a soccer player, with León being his last team.
After his great time in European football, where he played for teams such as Deportivo La Coruña (2007-2012), Valencia (2012-2013), Bayer Leverkusen (2014), PSV Eindhoven (2014-2017) and Real Betis Balompié (2017-2024), Guardado returned to Mexico to play for the Esmeraldas (2024-2025).
