Volleyball ever stronger, Manfredi confirmed as federal president

Federations vote. Fipav, Federvolley, has mapped out its future. The elective assembly was held at the Palacongressi in Rimini and confirmed Giuseppe Manfredi (96.8 percent) as president with a real plebiscite. The Rimini assembly was attended by the president of the World Federation, Fibv, the Brazilian Fabio Azavedo who wanted to pay homage to Italian sport. 61 articles of the statute were approved in the assembly and the federal leadership was elected. An assembly organized in the best way by the Fipav staff, led by the general secretary Stefano Bellotti. Volleyball is now one of the most followed and practiced sports in Italy.

Maria Lorena Haz Paz is the new president of the Italian Cricket Federation (Fcri) for the Olympic four-year period 2025-2028. With 207 votes, she defeated the outgoing president Fabio Marabini in the runoff, who obtained 168 votes. The election took place in Rome, in the Hall of Honor of the CONI. Haz Paz, 47, an entrepreneur born in Ecuador and resident in Italy for 24 years, has been active in the Italian cricket scene since 2007. Until now vice president of the Federation, she was also in the past president of Roma Cricket. With this election, she becomes the second woman in office to hold the presidency of a national sports federation, reaching Laura Lunetta (Dance Federation). “I am deeply proud of this result that represents the culmination of years of commitment and work – her first words as federal number 1 -.
