Reggello (Florence), 6 July 2025 – The Reggello–Vallombrosa, scheduled for next 13 July, confirms itself as one of the most beloved races in the Tuscan running calendar, rightfully included among the “Historic climbs of Tuscany”. A challenging route, all uphill, 13.2 km long, which develops almost entirely in the shade of the woods, where temperatures remain mild even in the hottest periods: at the start, often, they do not exceed 20 degrees.
The event is also valid as the 7th Massimo Montaghi Memorial. The main race is preceded by a 5 km eco-walk with start and finish at the Abbey, open to all.
Born from the heart of the Resco Running Group, the Reggello–Vallombrosa has become over the years a point of reference for regional running and beyond.
“This milestone – the organizers say – is made possible by the support of the Uisp Committee of Florence, which has included the race among the pillars of its calendar, but also thanks to the Municipality of Reggello, the BCC Valdarno Fiorentino and the tireless work of the many volunteers and local associations who every year commit themselves along the route.”
Among the most significant aspects of the event, the focus on solidarity stands out: part of the registration fee will be donated to charity, as per tradition. This year, among the organizations involved, there is also Ets Regalami un sorriso , which will take care of the official photo shoot.
