Prato School Cup, the tournament goes to Dagomari: Buzzi beaten on penalties

Prato, 12 June 2025 - Dagomari is celebrating in the Gold final of the Prato School Cup , winning the tournament by beating Buzzi in the final act, at the end of a match – the one played on the pitch of the “Bruno Chiavacci” sports field – that was very close and decided only on penalties. After the 1-1 achieved in regulation thanks to goals by Tassi (Buzzi) and Mari (Dagomari), the penalty kicks rewarded the team from the high school on via di Reggiana, which won 5-3. Bigazzi, Mari, Guizzaro and Kola found the target from 11 metres, while only Gori and Carlesi scored for the team from viale della Repubblica. Dagomari thus completed a journey that began with second place in group A, right behind Buzzi, and continued with a narrow victory in the semifinal against Datini.

In addition to Dagomari, the organizer of the event is also smiling, namely Asd Scuole Sportive, a new local organization committed to promoting sports among young people as a tool for personal and community growth, affiliated with the sports promotion organization Msp of Prato. During the month-long competition, many young people were involved, both players and spectators. Hundreds of spectators came for the Gold final.

As for the Silver final, Marconi won it due to Datini's withdrawal. Like the students of Dagomari, those of the high school in via Galcianese were also awarded on the final evening of the tournament.
