Portaccia Night Race: Photos of the Race

Castiglione dei Pepoli, July 13, 2025 – The setting sun creates a magical atmosphere for the 11th Notturna della Portaccia, an event that, year after year, confirms the special hospitality of Emilia. A cool and pleasant evening welcomed 240 runners, both competitive and casual, immersed in a setting steeped in tradition and sharing. As the sun sets over Piazza Libertà, enveloping it in long, evocative shadows, "La Portaccia" guides participants along a route that is, above all, an experience.

Making it all even more memorable is the presence of so many groups and smiling faces. And when the hard work is over... the party begins. A lavishly laid table celebrates Emilia with a riot of flavors: cappelletti, gnocchi, passatelli in brodo, tagliatelle. The undisputed queen is Bologna mortadella, accompanied by mushrooms and a thousand other delicacies. And then there's the inevitable barbecue with grilled steaks and sausages, rounding out the evening in a spirit of conviviality. A race to be experienced again and again, for the warmth of the people, the charm of the place, and the intensity of the experience.
