The accident will prevent him from taking part in the first Grand Prix of the 2025 season, scheduled for this weekend in Thailand . The race in Argentina , two weeks later, is also in doubt.

Martin will undergo surgery

According to the Spanish website motorport.com , Martin suffered a triple compound fracture of the distal radius, the left scaphoid and the pyramidal bone of the left hand, along with a fourth fracture – not compound – of the left calcaneus. On Tuesday he will have to undergo surgery on his hand, most likely at the Dexeus clinic in Barcelona. The world champion, who left Ducati Pramac and has been racing with an official Aprilia since this year (the Noale racing team is currently on its way to Bangkok) had just recovered from the bad accident on February 7 in which he suffered several fractures to his right hand and left foot.
