Fiorentina, The Midnight Coup - Pradè's other market, which depends on Kean and Dodo

Fiorentina, The Midnight Coup - Pradè's other market, which depends on Kean and Dodo

Florence, July 7, 2025 - Daniele Pradè is working on two fronts: on the one hand he is trying to close incoming operations quickly – with Esposito and Bernabé at the top of the list –, on the other he is keeping an eye on situations that are still uncertain, which could evolve or remain simple hypotheses. The market, as we know, is also made up of unpredictable scenarios.

In particular, the situations of Moise Kean and Dodo remain undecided. Two different cases, but with a possible common destiny: the transfer. The rumors about both are multiplying. Napoli is looking for a center forward and Kean could be among the names being evaluated. Manchester United also remains in the background, observing without exposing itself. If Fiorentina, at least until July 15, does not seem to be running big risks, Pradè knows well that he must be ready for any eventuality.

It is in this context that the name of Roberto Piccoli comes into play, a 2001-born striker who is coming off a season with 11 goals for Cagliari. Contacts with his entourage – the same ones that also look after the interests of Kean and Dzeko – have already been initiated. If Kean were to stay in Florence, the interest in Piccoli could remain , with the possibility of being explored further down the line. But if Kean were to leave, the former Atalanta player would become the main candidate to take over his legacy . Cagliari, for now, values him at 30 million after having redeemed him from Atalanta for around 12.

But Piccoli is not the only Cagliari name that has ended up on the Viola notebook. Nadir Zortea , a winger born in 1999 and originally from Feltre, has also been identified as a possible reinforcement for the right flank. The operation would be tied to the possible departure of Dodo . At the moment, no one in the Viola house is hoping for his farewell - including the fans - but the absence of concrete signals on a possible renewal makes it a hypothesis that cannot be ruled out.

Zortea has had an excellent season and in recent days has publicly expressed his desire to compete in a more ambitious context. Pradè likes the profile, also because it responds perfectly to the philosophy of the new Fiorentina: young, strong and Italian .

It now remains to be seen whether Piccoli and Zortea will remain simple market suggestions or whether they will become concrete objectives. Much, if not everything, will depend on what happens with Kean and Dodo.
