Excellence. Sansepolcro advances to Saturday with Pontevalleceppi awaiting the Coppa Italia

After the break the day before yesterday, the Sansepolcro championship will resume on Saturday and not Sunday. In fact, it has been official since late yesterday morning: the home match between the Bianconeri and Pontevalleceppi , valid for the 23rd day of the Umbrian Excellence , has been brought forward by almost 24 hours and will therefore be played next Saturday, March 1st, on the Buitoni pitch starting at 3:15 pm. The reason? Simply to take an extra day of recovery, in view of the match of the Coppa Italia category - first leg of the quarter-finals of the national phase - which on Wednesday March 5th will see Antonio Armillei 's team play against Sestese at the "Piero Torrini" stadium in Sesto Fiorentino.

With six days to go in the Tuscan Eccellenza, the rossoblù coached by Fabrizio Polloni (who play in group A) are 16 points behind the leaders Camaiore and next Sunday there is Camaiore-Sestese; even a draw will be enough for the Versilia team to return to Serie D.

At Sansepolcro, the doubt persists regarding the experienced central defender Stefano Tersini , out of the team for a good month due to a back problem; we will see if the MRI will be able to resolve the question mark. Good news, however, regarding Diego Merciari , also out but due to an ankle injury: the young left winger is doing better and will start training again this week.
