Cristina Borroni presented herself in this way in front of a hundred Castellanzesi who came to the conference room of the Castellanza library to listen to her ideas for continuing the administrative experience of Partecipiamo, the civic list that for 10 years (9 with the late Mirella Cerini) has been the majority in the city.

The natural candidate after the tragic and sudden death, just over a year ago, of the mayor has taken on a responsibility that she has expressed in a few key words: competence, experience and responsibility. Three nouns that she has expressed in front of the citizens present, telling them what the experience of Partecipiamo has been in these years and what it can still give to a city eternally suspended between the small and the large. Borroni knows this, having held the role of councilor for Social Services, she knows the daily reality of the people of Castellanza well.

Small in population (around 14 thousand inhabitants), large in the structures it hosts (a university like Liuc with over 2 thousand students, high school, two clinics, important industries and commercial areas, the highway and a station on the railway line to Malpensa) Castellanza is a real administrative challenge that requires patience, mediation skills and attention to the needs of those who live there. Cristina Borroni knows this well, as does the team of candidate councilors who accompany her, some of whom are from the council that has just ended, many at their first experience, some from the parties.

The liveability of a city that squeezes between two larger poles such as Busto Arsizio and Legnano is the identity theme of the Partecipiamo list that is investing and intends to continue to do so in sustainability, trying to remove cars from the streets for proximity mobility (see the new cycle path that is being built between Castellanza and Legnano as part of the Move on route that connects Switzerland to the metropolitan city of Milan).

Borroni does not forget the Mill project by Confindustria which, in addition to increasing the importance of the Liuc university center, will allow the people of Castellanza to see a mending between the two districts of Ingiù and Insù. For the road system, new roundabouts and the redevelopment of the railway bed are planned.
