Adjustment: new resources for Culture and Sport for 54 million

"The measures envisaged in the adjustment maneuver, which integrate a total of 54 million euros of budget resources for Culture and Sport, represent the concrete application of a precise vision that the Regional Administration promotes. We believe it is essential that the economic spin-off produced by these sectors allows, on the one hand, to offer job opportunities to many people and, on the other, to guarantee the public body an economic return that can be reinvested for the benefit of the territory. The results of the efforts produced so far are flattering: just think that our system of creative cultural enterprises produces almost 6% of the regional GDP, equal to approximately 2.2 billion euros, and is animated by more than 5 thousand entities and over 33 thousand employees". This was stated today in the V Commission by the deputy governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia with responsibility for Culture and Sport Mario Anzil, during the illustration of the adjustment bill for the parts under his jurisdiction. Introducing the items pertaining to the macro-item of Culture, the representative of the Regional Executive wanted to underline how the combination of Go!2025 and the Italian Capital of Culture in Pordenone in 2027 represents "an exceptional achievement, made possible by the presence in the territory of a system of excellent cultural operators and by the fruitful synergy created with the institutions. In this maneuver we reserve an initial figure of 465 thousand euros to support projects, actions and interventions, including investments in cultural heritage, and events linked to the Pordenone event".
Of particular note is the 5 million euro funding reserved for Erpac for the recovery and enhancement of the historic park of Villa Manin, in order to increase its public enjoyment and use for cultural purposes. A similar amount will be allocated to the calls approved in 2024 to incentivize projects for the enhancement of fortified architecture (3.5 million) and historic gardens (1.5 million).
Other resources will be allocated to improve the usability of the digital artistic work of Galleria Bombi in Gorizia: specifically, 1.3 million euros to Erpac for the management of reception services, ticketing, hall surveillance and assistance to the public; 600 thousand euros to the Municipality of Gorizia to cover management costs over three years. Furthermore, 400 thousand euros will be financed for interventions aimed at ensuring accessibility to UNESCO sites by people with disabilities and, with another 400 thousand euros, the purchase by the Regional Theatre Authority (Ert Fvg) of the property on Viale Duodo in Udine where the association's headquarters are located. In the sports sector, where the Region is at the top nationally for investments both in relation to the number of inhabitants and in absolute terms, the vice-governor confirmed the commitment of the Regional Administration to the adaptation of the facilities in the territory.
“With a new allocation of 14.9 million euros – Anzil announced – we will finance, through a specific call for tenders, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions”. The Municipality of Cividale del Friuli will receive a contribution of 2 million euros for the work necessary to reopen the municipal swimming pool (refurbishing the roof, extraordinary maintenance, energy requalification of the building), in addition to the 1.5 million allocated in Stability for the financing of the first lot. Two continental sporting events will also benefit from specific funding: the European Powerchair Football Championship (100 thousand euros) which will take place in Lignano from 17 to 25 September and the European Forester's Biathlon Competition (300 thousand euros) scheduled for Forni Avoltri in 2026. Finally, a redefinition of the financing methods for top amateur teams in team sports and gymnastics is planned.
