Marcus Rashford sent message from Kai Rooney after Man Utd forward's sad admission

Wayne Rooney's son Kai has sent a message of support to Marcus Rashford after the Barcelona striker netted a stunning goal. Rashford scored in his side's 3-1 win over Elche, unleashing a powerful left-footed strike off the underside of the crossbar from a narrow angle.
Meanwhile, Kai is currently part of the United academy with ambitions of emulating his legendary father's career. Despite only being 16, he has already starred for the Reds Under-18s side.
Unfortunately for him, his development was halted by a nasty foot injury which left him devastated. Whilst side-lined, he tuned in to watch Rashford shine in La Liga.

The England star posted a photo of himself celebrating his goal. In the caption, he wrote: "Home win, good vibes. Thanks for your support. Tieree that one was for you as promised."
Sadly for Kai, many of his latest posts haven't been as upbeat. When he picked up his injury, he shared a post on social media with the caption "Life can't get worse," which left many fans feeling sorry for him.
It marked a crushing blow as he'd been excelling whilst featuring for United's development squads. He followed the same initial path as his celebrated father, standing out at the Super Cup NI in Northern Ireland, mirroring what the legendary United skipper achieved as a teenage sensation at Everton.
Unsurprisingly, Kai has drawn comparisons to his dad, who remains United's all-time leading scorer. However, Rooney has called on football fans and the media to distinguish between his own career and that of his son.
Speaking to BBC Sport a few months ago, he said: "I just let him play. I think they started the competition well, they won 3-0, he scored the penalty and got an assist.
"So I think he started OK. He just plays and that's all he's done during his time playing. I think it's very unfair for anyone to expect him to go and do all kinds.
"He's just playing, he's a 15-year-old boy playing his football, enjoying it. Of course he gets different attention to a lot of his team-mates but I think he handles that really well."
In other news, Rashford expressed his delight at his goal against Elche. He said: "I just try to do the right things on the pitch. Even today, I could have had more assists or goals. Sometimes the decision making to shoot or pass was wrong, but I am going to have days like this.
"The important thing is always the team and today we won. So I am happy for this. My focus is not so much on the output. If I am doing the right things, I know I will always be able to score and assist. My focus is with the team, to build relationships and feel comfortable."
