The 2,200m² fitness center, which had several hundred members, was indeed a long-standing player in the Cagnes-sur-Mer shopping center. "This place met a real local demand, in an easily accessible setting...", Daniel continued to lament.
Rest assured: a new sports project will be installed in the 2,200m2 left vacant. Contacted, the communications department of Shopping Promenade, a center purchased and renamed by the Frey group in November , confirmed the takeover of the premises. By January, the On Air chain will take over. Alexandre Prut, who holds the brand's franchise in the Alpes-Maritimes, will be the future manager. While he does not disclose the amount of the lease signed with the property company - a sticking point that led to the departure of the former tenant - he assures that he saw "a great development opportunity in this very large space, not easy to find in the department."

We've been working on the plans for a month to redefine all the spaces," explains the manager, who already owns his first franchise in the Arenas district of Nice.
The program includes different areas, including free weight training, guided training, cardio, cross training, pole dancing, boxing, MMA, a women's-only room, a terrace dedicated to outdoor training, and also a café, which could later be transformed into a more extensive dining area. "I hope to make it the most beautiful on-air room on the Côte d'Azur. In Cagnes, we're aiming for 1,000 visitors per day," says Alexandre Prut, who is working on six other openings on the Côte d'Azur. One of which is about to be signed in the west.

Jobs at stakeOn the recruitment side, the gym, which will not offer group classes, is counting on six direct jobs and intends to call on approximately the same number of independent coaches to offer à la carte training. With a subscription of around 30 euros per month, it is positioning itself as a competitor to low-cost gyms. Its opening should take place just after that of the new leisure offer of the shopping center, which is scheduled to launch at the end of the year.
