While the overall standings between Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard seem to be settled, battles will be fought at different levels of the Tour de France: to win more laurels, a contract for next year, or even the survival of a team.

We can announce it without too much trembling: Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) will win the 2025 Tour de France. Or maybe it will be Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a bike). We honestly don't see who else but these two, who have claimed the last five editions of the Tour de France and have each finished second when they weren't winning. In mid-June, the Slovenian and the Dane easily finished in the first two places of the Critérium du Dauphiné, the race par excellence for preparing for the summer jousts. In this duel in the sun, the advantage was Pogacar, who surprisingly easily won. As for the suspense, we'll come back – barring an accident of course (the two favorites of the last Giro , Ayuso and Roglic, did not see the end of it).
