A tough blow for the second in the Top 14. International centre three-quarter Antoine Frisch, who suffered a fracture, will miss at least the next three months of competition with RC Toulon, his coach Pierre Mignoni announced on Tuesday.

"We don't know if his season is already over but unfortunately we are losing Antoine for three months," the Var coach told several media outlets including AFP, without specifying the nature of the injury.

Having arrived in the Rade last summer from Munster, the 28-year-old French international (2 caps) has played 11 matches with the RCT this season, including his last against La Rochelle in the Top 14 on January 26 .

To cope with this long-term absence, as well as that of Duncan Paia'aua, who underwent cervical surgery in early 2025, the RCT announced on Tuesday the return of New Zealand legend Ma'a Nonu as a medical joker.

Currently second in the Top 14 behind Stade Toulousain, Toulon is preparing for a trip to Lyon on Saturday (4:30 p.m.) for the 18th day of the championship.
