Top 14: "La Rochelle were superior to us," admits Patrice Collazzo after Racing 92's defeat

Thomas Berjon (La Rochelle scrum-half, winners against Racing 92 33-6 ): "We were focused. We had a great week. We were determined to build on the Lyon victory and put in a strong performance tonight. (...) Everything won't be perfect until the end of the season, but if we maintain this mindset, nothing can go wrong. We were on a two-game winning streak, which brings good spirits and the desire to repeat the same success. It's our defense that wins us games. We've got Will Skelton back, and he's been a real asset in attack and defense. Having a player like Greg (Alldritt) come in for this kind of match (a double-header) is a huge bonus; it can only benefit us. He was very happy to play with us. We were determined to put in a great performance for him. Mission accomplished; there were smiles all over the locker room."

Patrice Collazo (Racing 92 manager, after the defeat in La Rochelle): "There's not much to explain. La Rochelle were simply better than us. We lacked precision in the first half, we came up against an ultra-aggressive team, and they manage to generate a lot of energy. We couldn't get our hands on the ball, we made a lot of knock-ons, our rucks weren't quick enough, so we kept hitting a brick wall. From then on, the second half became more complicated. We can't spend 80 minutes defending."
