Tennis: Swiatek climbs back onto the WTA rankings podium, Lois Boisson climbs three places

Iga Swiatek climbed to number three in the world rankings on Monday after her first Wimbledon triumph, where defending champion Barbora Krejcikova fell 62 places after losing in the third round.

In a hierarchy still clearly dominated by Aryna Sabalenka , the surprise finalist of the third Major of the year Amanda Anisimova climbs five places and reaches 7th place in the world, her best ranking to date. Mirra Andreeva (+2) is also at her highest this week with her 5th place WTA after reaching the quarterfinals at Wimbledon.

Woe to the losers

The 2025 edition of the Grand Slam grass-court tournament is costing the two outgoing finalists dearly: Jasmine Paolini drops to 9th place (-4) after her defeat in the second round and Krejcikova plummets to 78th place.

The biggest rise after the London fortnight is that of Laura Siegemund who, at 37 years old, jumped 50 places to 54th in the world after her quarter-final.

French women are climbing

There are four French women in the Top 100 this week: Loïs Boisson climbs three places ( 63rd ) - after her defeat in the first round at Wimbledon she played in Bastad where she lost in the second round -, Elsa Jacquemot progresses 18 places ( 95th ) after having passed one round at Wimbledon then her final at the WTA 125 in Contrexeville, and Diane Parry jumps 20 places ( 98th ) having passed two rounds in London.

The fourth Frenchwoman in the Top 100 is Léolia Jeanjean ( 100th ) who falls four places.
