Luca Martin from the Côte d'Azur crowned French cross-country mountain bike champion

The Tourrette-Levens rider is becoming big, very big! While the Tour de France takes up almost all of the cycling media coverage, it was the French Championships this weekend in Puy-Saint-Vincent (Hautes-Alpes). And history will remember that it was here that Luca Martin, a pure-blooded Alpine champion, won his very first French Elite Championship title.

Already crowned U23 World Champion last September in Andorra, the 23-year-old rider, born in Tourrette-Levens, won ahead of Mathis Azzaro and Joshua Dubau, by just under 4 seconds. However, he left defending champion Jordan Sarrou 1'01" behind and Victor Koretzky 2'07". Luca Martin thus confirmed his status as the new star of French cross-country mountain biking.
