LIVE. 2025 Women's Tour de France: Follow Stage 6

On Thursday, July 31, the 2025 Women's Tour de France will take on a new dimension between Clermont-Ferrand and Ambert, with 124 kilometers on the program.

We're still riding at full speed on this July 31st, for the 6th stage of the 2025 Women's Tour de France . The breakaway isn't going anywhere.

When you say Clermont, you necessarily say ASM Clermont Auvergne! The Yellow Army is here!

Valentina Cavallar and Mie Bjørndal Ottestad have withdrawn from the 2025 Tour de France femmes.

Switzerland has 11 points, but the gaps are minimal with Silke Smulders (6 points), Brodie Chapman (4 points), Anna Van der Bregren (3 points) and Mavi Garcia (2 points).

Cofidis' Frenchwoman Victoire Berteau is the first to attack! The peloton is chasing her!

The director of the 2025 Tour de France Women's also expects a major battle for the general classification: The race, which started from the immense Place de Jaude, in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand, will not leave the Puy-de-Dôme. Via fairly flat roads, it will reach Courpière where the serious stuff will begin. The ascent of the Col du Béal (10.2 km at 5.6%) will then be quickly followed by those of the Col du Chansert (6.3 km at 5.5%) and the Côte de Valcivières. Through a wild landscape of volcanic rocks, there will be no respite to reach Ambert.

For this first major confrontation of the 2025 Tour de France women, the riders who have intentions of competing in the general classification are expected to be considered. We are thinking in particular of the trio of Katarzyna Niewiadoma, Demi Vollering, and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. Other notables include Pauliena Rooijakkers, Anna Van der Breggen, Liane Lippert, Sarah Gigante, and Kimberley Le Court.

The actual start is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. According to the organizers of the 2025 Tour de France Women, the finish is expected around 5:30 p.m.

Between Clermont-Ferrand and Ambert (123.7 km), this Thursday, July 31, will be the first high-altitude meeting with three famous passes of the Massif Central.

154 cyclists took the start of the women's Tour de France on Saturday, July 26, 2025, for the 4th edition. From Morbihan to Haute Savoie, this new edition takes place over 9 days, with one day more than the previous edition. Unsurprisingly, the contenders for overall victory in this Tour will be the top three in the final standings, namely Poland's Kasia Niewiadoma, the Dutch Demi Vollering, and Pauliena Rooijakkers. But this 2025 edition will be spiced up by France's Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, back on the road and hoping to shine on the Grande Boucle. Recent winner of the Giro d'Italia, Elisa Longo Borghini (33 years old) also dreams of achieving the first double in history.

The first two stages are "for the punchers." Then, "we'll have two stages for the sprinters that will take us to Poitiers. And then the mid-mountains will arrive very quickly with the Massif Central, a stage in Clermont-Ferrand, Ambert, Bourg-en-Bresse, Chambéry, and then the high mountains to finish," explained Tour director Marion Rousse.
