Hyères, Toulon, Fréjus/St-Raphaël: the National 2 clubs know their opponents... and there are some surprises

The rumor had been growing for several hours, and the official publication of the National 2 groups for the 2025/2026 season confirmed it: three clubs from the Paris region (Créteil, Bobigny and St-Maur) will play in Group C, usually called the "South" group.
And this is not necessarily good news for Hyères FC , SC Toulon and Etoile Fréjus/St-Raphaël , who will have to cross swords with FC 93 Bobigny BG, best second in all groups last season, and US Créteil Lusitanos, former Ligue 2 team recently taken over by Xavier Niel .
In a championship where only the top team in each group will earn a ticket to the future Ligue 3 - which will succeed the National in a year's time - the battle promises to be fierce.
Especially since, in addition to these "newcomers", many historic and ambitious clubs will also be taking part: Nîmes, Cannes, Istres, Grasse and even GOAL FC, not to mention the potential surprises.
The match schedules should be published from tomorrow.
