Club World Cup: How North American PSG fans are organizing to attend the matches
Whether they live in Mexico City, Montreal, New York, or Los Angeles, PSG fans tell us about their upcoming trip to the American West to attend the first three matches of the Club World Cup. A golden opportunity to see the new European champions up close.
By Sébastien Nieto and Vincent PialatThey are "just emerging from the whirlwind of emotions" caused by the long-awaited Champions League title, smiles Loïc, president of the Montreal fan club. But whether they come from Canada, Mexico or New York , North American PSG fans have never been closer to seeing their favorite players at home, where the first Club World Cup begins this June 14, organized throughout the United States.
For Paris , they'll be heading to Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles, on Sunday for a clash against Atlético de Madrid. "At home," everything is relative, given the continent's vastness. "For us, from Montreal, it's longer and more difficult to get to Los Angeles than to France," recalls Loïc, who was in Munich on the evening of May 31. The Canadian caravan will leave with seven fans for California and will decide on the rest of the tournament.
