Basketball: Hyères-Toulon has its new leader

Hyères-Toulon announced the signing of point guard Ikenna Ndugba this Saturday evening. The 1.83m-tall Nigerian-American, who celebrated his 27th birthday this week, is out for the season due to a knee injury. A real gamble, but one that offers more guarantees than Daniel Sackey or Théo Lefebvre, both of whom were released by the club.
Because before that, Ndugba was averaging 19.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists (20.8 rating) in 2023-2024 with Vevey in the Swiss Elite – a championship at the level of Pro B. If his last match dates back to April 1, 2024, he has worked hard to get back to his level.
The Boston native split his college career between Bryant and Elon (NCAA). He then played in the USA, in the G-League, with Greensboro and Santa Cruz (where he was a teammate of former Varois Zeke Moore).
HTV will therefore be his second club in Europe. He is expected to partner Mathis Keita in the first position.
