A new padel club under construction near the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice

Padel enthusiasts, you'll be delighted to learn that a new venue dedicated to your practice will be built west of Nice. It will be located right in front of the National Sports Museum at the Allianz Riviera. Behind the scenes at this new club is Nissa Padel, a company created and led by Frank Garbarino with one idea: "Fill the shortage of courts in Nice."
Ten padel courts, one pickleball court (also a racket court) and a clubhouse (with showers, changing rooms, etc.) will be installed on the site where there is currently an area dedicated to outdoor activities. "The court is within the perimeter managed by Nice Eco Stadium ," explains its general manager Patrick Florence. "It will therefore be made available to the club in agreement with the City."
The work began on June 16th with the earthworks and excavation phase. » Visitors to the museum have probably noticed. No particular difficulties on this site, things can move quickly. The development of the 5200m 2 can then begin "next month" , according to Patrick Florence, around August. The opening, for the moment, is scheduled for this fall.
The general manager of Nice Eco Stadium added: "This leisure area will extend behind because the City will create a city stadium between the P2 bis car park and the padel club."
An ideal placeThe site chosen for this new padel club seems to tick all the boxes: it is easy to access, close to the motorway exit, with public parking nearby and a stone's throw from the line 3 tram stop.
But above all, it is not in the immediate vicinity of any residential areas. While padel may be popular, it sometimes causes noise pollution for local residents. The Nice Tennis Lawn has suffered the consequences, as its neighbors have taken legal action to demand that it close its courts—which it has done while awaiting the appeal hearing on the merits, scheduled for mid-November.
Frank Garbarino, who has worked in real estate for years, took every precaution: "Acoustic studies were carried out to verify that everything complied with regulations.
We are here 130 meters from the first house – further than what is normally recommended – but also in a hyper-saturated noise environment. All the lights are green.
Enough to attract fans of this very fashionable sport, a victim of its own success due to the lack of fields compared to the number of players.
