A fight broke out in Geneva on Saturday between Servette supporters.

The fight broke out outside the Geneva stadium on Saturday afternoon, before the trip to Bern where Servette faced Young Boys.
The Super League resumed last Friday and it wasn't long before the first fan disturbances erupted. On Saturday, ahead of the match between Young Boys and Servette FC (3-1) , clashes broke out in Geneva between Grenat ultras.
The incident took place near the Stade de la Praille in the afternoon, before the trip to Bern. Members of the Section Grenat - the main Servette fan group - clashed with those of the Plus Malins, a dissident group created after the Covid-19 pandemic and mainly composed of young urbanites. The cantonal police intervened to restore order and this did not result in any arrests, reports "La Tribune de Genève" .
According to the information gathered by the newspaper, it appears that the brawl began after Section Grenat (SG) prevented Les Plus Malins (LPM) from accessing the train provided to Geneva supporters to transport them to the capital. The LPM still attempted to force entry, which sparked the clashes.
These scenes are part of a pattern of ongoing tensions between the two groups. The two have already clashed in the past, "particularly during parties or events," the police told "La Tribune de Genève." In a message relayed internally, the SG also indicated that an LPM leader "touched" one of its members and "threatened" the group, "which is unacceptable and unforgivable." As a result, it decided to expel the LPM from the North Stand for home games and from their trains when traveling. "They can travel on their own, and we will coexist in the visitors' section," the SG added.
The fight that took place on Saturday was reminiscent of the one between the Section Grenat and the Irréductibles Grenat, attached to the ice hockey team, in October 2022. "How can two groups that are fighting for the same garnet color get to this point?", Didier Fischer, then president of the Fondation 1890, owner of Servette FC and Genève-Servette HC, was outraged, adding: "I never want to see that again."
