2025 Women's Tour de France: route, profile and schedule of the 7th stage, between Bourg-en-Bresse and Chambéry

2025 Women's Tour de France: route, profile and schedule of the 7th stage, between Bourg-en-Bresse and Chambéry

The first half of the stage is largely flat, crossing the plains of Ain and the banks of the Rhône for nearly 100 kilometers, ideal for a large breakaway. But everything changes in the last 60 kilometers, with a series of difficulties that will wear down the bodies: the Côte de Saint-Franc (3.8 km at 6.9%) and the Côte de Berland (1.2 km at 7.2%) will launch hostilities. Ambitious teams could already try to accelerate the pace at this point in the race.

The final battle will take place at the Col du Granier (8.9 km at 5.4%), with several slopes over 9% in the final kilometers. An attacking climber could make the difference at the summit and increase her advantage on the technical descent to Chambéry. The finish is unprecedented: it's the first time since the return of the Women's Tour in 2022 that a stage has concluded at the bottom of a pass. Caution and positioning will therefore be essential in this tense finale, where one mistake could jeopardize everything.
