Yucatán takes home a gold medal

Yucatán was present on the podium in the aquathlon and triathlon activities of the 2025 National Olympiad.



Jesús Tenorio Murillo won the gold medal in the 12-13 age group aquathlon at the closing ceremony at the Progreso boardwalk. This was the 51st gold medal for the state in the children's and youth sports competition.
Tenorio's race was the only one won by the Yucatecan delegation in this discipline, and in this test he achieved a time of 8.35 minutes, leaving second place to Diego Ceja Gómez, from Jalisco, with 8.40 minutes, and third place to Nicolás Gómez López, from Quintana Roo, with a time of 9.01 minutes.
In the women's event, Sofía Gallegos of Baja California took gold with a time of 9.27 minutes, followed by Ana Paula Ávila of Guanajuato with 9.29 minutes, and Zoe Enríquez Ávalos of Tamaulipas with 9.31 minutes.
In the overall awards by state, Jalisco took first place in the competitions with 14 gold medals, Querétaro was second with five gold medals, and Nuevo León came in third with four.
Yucatán currently has 51 gold, 40 silver, and 46 bronze medals and is in fourth place overall, behind Jalisco, Nuevo León, and Baja California.
In addition, karate competitions concluded yesterday at the Zamná Polyforum, where there was intense activity with bouts in the 18-20 age group.
