Video | Lando Norris had a scare while celebrating his British GP victory: a blow to the eye.

Britain's Lando Norris tightened his grip on the Formula 1 world title race by winning the British Grand Prix on Sunday, ahead of his McLaren teammate and championship leader, Oscar Piastri.
However, in the midst of celebrating his eighth victory in the world's top category of motorsport, Norris suffered an accident that caused a scare for his team.
The driver received a severe blow to his left eye as he approached the fans who were cheering him on after his victory. The incident was captured on Sky Sports cameras.
This was the incident in which Lando Norris was hit in the eye As Norris approached the fans, a railing gave way and he fell directly onto his face. Some of his teammates, noticing the impact, carried him away as the athlete grimaced in pain.
Norris won a crazy race marked by heavy rain and wet asphalt, beating Piastri for the second week in a row, another McLaren one-two. They had already achieved this feat in Austria.
"It's a dream to win here, it's an incredible feeling for me to triumph on this circuit. It was a tough race, but I felt the support of the fans," celebrated Norris, who won his fourth Grand Prix this year.
Piastri paid a heavy price for a ten-second penalty after being found guilty of braking abruptly behind the safety car just before the race restart while he was leading.

"I'm not going to say anything, I don't want to get into trouble. It seems like you can't brake behind the safety car anymore," he said with a serious expression before taking the podium. He remains in the lead but now sees his advantage over Norris reduced from 15 to eight points.
This is the fifth double finish - first and second place in the same Grand Prix - that McLaren has achieved this season.
The big loser in the title race was Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who continues to complicate his goal of achieving a fifth consecutive world title, finishing fifth in this race despite having started from pole position.
Verstappen, third overall, is now 69 points behind the leader after making an unusual driving error in this race while running second.

The Dutchman held the lead until Piastri overtook him on lap eight, following a downpour.
After a second safety car intervention—the first due to rain, the second due to a track exit by Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar—Verstappen made the mistake that dropped him to tenth place. He was then able to mitigate the damage and scrape a fifth-place finish.
"I didn't have any rhythm. But we were able to make the right decisions at the right time (...) We finished fifth, which is probably the best we could have done," 'Mad Max' resigned himself.
Nico Hulkenberg's feat: his first Formula 1 podium Third in the race was German veteran Niko Hülkenberg (Sauber), the surprise of the day who, at 37 years of age, managed to climb onto the podium for the first time after 239 Grand Prix starts.

"I've been waiting for this for a long time and I knew I was capable of achieving it. I don't know how I did it. We made the right decisions when they needed to be made," celebrated the German driver, who had started the race in nineteenth place on the grid.
