Liga MX punishes the aggressor of the match between Pumas and América

A result that was overshadowed by several outbreaks of brawls in the stands between supporters of both teams.
A situation that did not go unnoticed by Liga MX, which through a statement announced the sanctions that one of the main parties involved will face .
Establishing that thanks to the FAN ID system, the identification of the person responsible was allowed, who was blocked and will be prohibited from returning to football for an indefinite period .
"As a result of the application of the FAN ID system, the person responsible for the main incident that occurred in the stands of the Estadio Olímpico Universitario during the match corresponding to Matchday 8 between Universidad Nacional and América on Saturday, February 22, has been fully identified and his FAN ID was blocked indefinitely. In accordance with security protocols and in strict adherence to current regulations, all information corresponding to this person—whose name is omitted by legal provision—will be forwarded to Club Universidad Nacional, in response to their public request for information. The FAN ID program continues with the identification processes and we reiterate our absolute rejection of any type of violent behavior inside and outside the stadiums ," the text reads.
