James Rodríguez and Sergio Ramos generate a spicy debate in Mexico and make an impact: 'It gives prestige'

James Rodríguez continues to gain recognition for his arrival in the Mexican League and his signing by León has generated the same opinion in several important voices in the Aztec country. The Colombian has collaborated so that La Fiera is making a leap in quality and has given “prestige” to the tournament.
Renowned media and voices in Mexican journalism share the same opinion: James Rodríguez and Sergio Ramos have raised the level of the Mexican League . The two star signings served to make the tournament be compared to the MLS in the United States , which in recent years had been the talk of the town with its big signings.

Journalist José Armado Rodríguez, from Deporte Total USA , indicated that Liga MX has regained relevance with the signings of the Colombian and the Spaniard. “The arrival of Sergio Ramos and James Rodríguez to Liga MX allows it to regain the relevance to which we had been accustomed for many years,” he began by saying.
“Obviously the emergence of the MLS became a competition. But in this market in particular, I think that with these two signings it has overtaken the MLS at this stage,” added the Mexican journalist.
He also said that the MLS only had Messi as the big star and there are no other shining names like the Mexican tournament has. “MLS kept Lionel Messi and brought in Olivier Giroud a few months ago, but little by little that excitement has subsided. I think the quality increase will become evident in the coming days.”

Along the same lines, journalist Silvina Fuentes from Hudd Sports gave a lot of importance to the signings of Ramos for Monterrey and James for León. “It could be very good since they are great players, it gives prestige to Liga MX. Afterwards, the results and matches are another thing, but it will be very interesting to see them on the field.”
Manu Bravo , finally, also praised his arrivals, but indicated that Liga MX has always stood out for having great stars. “ Liga MX gains prestige above all with the arrival of Ramos and James. Although it is not the first time that it receives this type of figures, there were others like Zamorano, 'Piojo' López and there was already Canales ,” he indicated.
“But now with Ramos, they have gained status and seeing that Mexico is attracting these talents, even if it is the final part of their careers, speaks very well because other markets wanted them,” concluded the Cracks journalist.
