Colombian Santiago Mesa, second in O Gran Camino in a spectacular finish of the first stage

The fast Colombian cyclist Santiago Mesa (Efapel Cycling) finished second in a tight sprint won by Magnus Cort (UNO X), in the first stage of O Gran Camino, which took place this Wednesday between Maia and Matosinhos, 189 kilometers.
Mesa came close to deciding the victory in a close finish, but Cort was a little faster and beat him by just a few centimeters.
Santiago Mesa, second in the stage and in the general classification of O Gran Camino Cort won the stage with a time of 4 hours, 18 minutes and 49 seconds, allowing him to become the first leader of the competition.
Diego Pescador (Movistar) took 36th place with the same time as the winner, as did Edison Callejas (Petrolike).
Jesús David Peña, who was making his debut with his new team, APHotels & Resorts, also arrived with the big group.
The second day of the race will take place this Thursday between Marín and A Estrada, 133 kilometres long.
