Betis is studying a new system for allocating away tickets, recovering seniority and other criteria

Betis has released a statement on its website on Tuesday announcing that it will "increase the measures adopted so far to ensure that Betis fans can cheer on with their families and in peace" both at home and away from Heliópolis.
The club has expressed its concern over the latest incidents caused by a section of its fans and lists what happened in the visiting stands in Vigo, an attempted assault in the Gol Norte car park or racist insults to Athletic Club players in the recent match played at the Benito Villamarín.

«Real Betis Balompié wants to once again demonstrate its utmost commitment to safety and respect in football. The Club is going to increase the measures adopted so far to ensure that Betis fans can support their team peacefully and with their families, both at the Benito Villamarín Stadium matches and on the road.
In the case of away matches, compliance with the security protocol established by our club is key. Real Betis Balompié allocates tickets for away matches among its members and has also made an effort to use all the tools at its disposal to ensure the traceability of these seats. The members who benefit from these nominative tickets are registered on a list that is provided to the National Police at least two days before the match so that they can check that none of the attendees are prohibited from accessing the sports venues.
At matches held at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, Real Betis Balompié checks the identity of spectators in the visiting stands , confirming that the ticket is in the name of the person entering. Our Club has asked LaLiga, and has begun to do so with the local clubs it faces, to put the same means at the access doors to their visiting stands to check that the Real Betis members who have received the tickets are really the people entering the venue. Any defect in the accesses ruins all the previous work carried out to guarantee security.
Real Betis has also requested in writing from the Government Subdelegation in Seville, the Royal Spanish Football Federation and LaLiga that under no circumstances will spectators who have not gone through the identification process prepared by Real Betis be allowed to enter the visiting stands . It will also contact the Government Subdelegations in the cities where the first team plays so that they can collaborate in fulfilling this request.
The Club is working to ensure that the stands are safe and that Betis fans can travel to cheer on their team with their families in peace, not to allow the normally violent elements that do not represent the Betis fans in any way to join in, as recently happened in Vigo and on other previous occasions . It has been repeatedly detected that they are accompanied by radical groups from other teams . These situations also generate serious clashes with the local fans, when traditionally the Real Betis fans have been magnificently received throughout Spain.
Real Betis will apply its disciplinary regulations with the utmost rigor in cases of incidents and violence identified , in parallel with the sanctions that these people may receive from the competent authorities. In recent weeks, the Club has reported various violent incidents to the National Police, such as the attempted assault that occurred at the entrance to the Gol Norte parking lot or the racist insults recorded in Gol Sur in the match against Athletic Club . Once the perpetrators are identified, the club's disciplinary regime will be applied to them.
Likewise, Real Betis is studying a new and better model for allocating away tickets, in which seniority as a member can be considered with the needs of the supporters' clubs, as well as facilitating access to these coveted seats for the more than 80,000 members that the entity has spread throughout Spain and abroad. The club will study all the alternatives over the next few weeks to develop a new distribution system that satisfies the majority of Betis fans.
Finally, the club would like to appeal to fans to ensure that violent, racist, xenophobic and intolerant attitudes do not occur in our sport, and to remove extremism and divisions from the ultimate goal that our fans should have: to support Real Betis Balompié.
