Alarm over Sevilla's center-back position

Sevilla hasn't been having much luck with injuries during the preseason. Several players have been recalled or are currently in the infirmary, affecting Matías Almeyda 's preseason and also the Nervion team's transfer options. Now, the league debut approaches, with Cordón still facing a significant amount of unfinished business and with few available players in the center of defense.
Last Wednesday, Sevilla announced that Ramón Martínez is suffering from a "myotendinous injury to the hamstring of his left thigh." As is customary, the Nervión club hasn't specified how long the Murcia defender will be out, but it doesn't seem likely that he'll be ready for the league debut in ten days at San Mamés.
Ramón Martínez started last Monday in the Antonio Puerta Trophy. After initially sharing the center of defense with Kike Salas, he later had to adapt to the right-back position when José Ángel Carmona came off the field. He was the only player to play the full match.
Ramón Martínez made his first-team debut last season and is expected to be part of the squad for the 25-26 season . In addition to his injury, Loïc Badé and Tanguy Nianzou are also suffering from these injuries. The former is suffering from a soleus injury, and although the club is confident he will be available for Matchday 1, he is one of the players who could leave the team if a good offer comes in. The latter has not played since October and has barely been able to train under Almeyda, as Sevilla announced in mid-July that he had suffered a new thigh injury. He is not expected back for the opening matches.
While waiting for Cordón to make moves in the transfer market to bring in new players, Nemanja Gudelj is once again considered a solution for the center-back position. The Serbian has already made quite a few appearances in this position during his time with Sevilla, although the position he feels most comfortable in is midfield, an area also in need of signings due to a lack of players (Saúl and Lokonga left, and no reinforcements have arrived there).
Thus, the only options for central defense at the moment are Kike Salas and Marcao . The Brazilian, however, is one of the players the club hopes to sell. Furthermore, he has just recovered from injury and has not played in either of the last two friendlies.
