The Tour de France has been one of the world's greatest sporting events for over 100 years. For three weeks, from July 5 to 27, 2025, the best professional cyclists will battle it out on the roads of France for stage wins, jerseys, and the overall victory.
From flat sprint stages to tough mountain stages in the Alps and Pyrenees, the race demands everything from the riders – endurance, tactics and nerves of steel are required.
This year's Tour also promises to be exciting in sporting terms: Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel are some of the strongest riders of recent years battling for the yellow jersey.
On Wednesday, July 16, the professionals will race through Toulouse, with both the start and finish points in the city.

The 2025 Tour de France began on July 5 in Lille and ends on July 27 in Paris.
A total of 21 stages are on the program: 7 flat stages, 6 stages in hilly terrain, 6 mountain stages with 5 mountain finishes in Hautacam, Luchon-Superbagnères, Mont Ventoux, Courchevel Col de la Loze and La Plagne Tarentaise as well as 2 time trials and 2 rest days.
The Tour de France will be broadcast extensively on TV and live streams in 2025. In Germany, ARD and Eurosport will show the stages live.
