Plea moves to PSV Eindhoven

Striker Alassane Plea leaves Borussia Mönchengladbach after seven years and moves to PSV Eindhoven.
A transfer fee of four million euros is being discussed for the 32-year-old, who was under contract with Gladbach until 2026.
Plea joined from OGC Nice in the summer of 2018 for €23 million and is the five-time German champions' record signing to date. With eleven Bundesliga goals, he was Borussia's second-best goalscorer last season, behind Tim Kleindienst (16).
New sporting challenge"Alassane approached us with the desire to take on a new sporting challenge and sign a long-term contract again," said Roland Virkus, Borussia's sporting director. Plea signed a contract with Eindhoven until 2028. The sale will save Borussia a salary of approximately €4.5 million.
Plea played a total of 236 games for the Foals, scoring 68 goals. His only international appearance came on November 20, 2018, in a 1-0 win against Uruguay.
Plea: "Grateful for seven great years in Gladbach""I look back with gratitude on seven great years at this amazing club, which I have grown to love. It was always an honor for me to wear the diamond jersey," he said. Plea was one of Gladbach's longest-serving players. Only Nico Elvedi, Florian Neuhaus, and goalkeepers Moritz Nicolas and Tobias Sippel have been part of the first team longer.
In Eindhoven, Plea is expected to compensate for the departures of playmaker Malik Tillmann (to Bayer Leverkusen) and winger Bakayoko (to RB Leipzig).
