The celebrations for the 125th anniversary of 1. FC Nuremberg are already in full swing, and now, as planned, a special jersey is being launched, which the Franconian second division club presented on Tuesday morning.

The simple jersey, which the club designed together with supplier Adidas and 11teamsports, features wide vertical stripes in the founding colors of red and white. The collar and sleeves are white and gold, with the original Adidas logo and FCN's anniversary logo also in gold. A black and gold patch with the founding date is also featured. There is no chest sponsor.

Head coach Miroslav Klose's team will wear the special jersey in the anniversary game against SV Elversberg next Sunday (1:30 p.m., LIVE! at kicker), but it will celebrate its premiere the day before when the club's women, whose promotion to the Bundesliga has already been confirmed , host Hamburger SV in the second division top game (1 p.m.).

The special jersey is available for €99.95, but members only pay €89.96. Those who prefer the jersey aren't satisfied with the purchase. A limited edition of 1,250 high-quality special jersey box, which includes the jersey, shorts, and socks, is available exclusively to members for €249.95. Following the huge success of the 125th anniversary sticker album, which was released a few weeks ago, FCN can certainly expect significant interest in the special jersey.

"We sincerely thank our supplier for being able to create such a gem for our members and fans for the club's anniversary," Niels Rossow, the club's Executive Board Member for Marketing & Strategy, said in the club's statement. Adidas, which has been supplying the Nuremberg team since 1978, with two interruptions, is "extremely proud to be part of this moving journey."
